Mood brightening

Well, I'm in a much better mood today. I decided during the week that this weekend I would be unreachable unless I chose otherwise. For the first weekend in a LONG time, I have no responsibilities. I don't have to bring Grandma her groceries, nor do I have to worry about packing her apartment. I had dinner with my aunt and uncle during the week, so I don't have that time commitment (not that I don't enjoy spending time with them, but every weekend, which is what it seems to have become, gets to be a little much).

I went to Games Club last night - my old club from college. The faces have changed, but the overriding description of "a bunch of cool people who get together Friday nights and play games" (my description) still holds true. I ended up doing a little clubbing, which I haven't been able to do before the "no smoking" law passed. The joys of being allergic. The first club was less my taste, and there were some smokers. The second place was less of a club than just a cool place which happens to serve alcoholic beverages, many of which include ice cream. I wish I wasn't driving last night. Ah well.

Got home around 4AM after having a wonderful time. Sure, there are details, and yes, they involve individual(s), but for the time being I'm keeping them to myself. Suffice it to say it was an enjoyable night.

It's nice to be in a good mood for a change, especially considering that I woke up WAY too close to when I went to bed. :)

In other cheerful news, I bought a new CD yesterday and subjected my office mates to disco. Actually, they were only subjected if they came very close to my desk, because I played it low, but still amusing to watch me bopping quietly in my chair.
