I had a lot of fun at Lunacon. Met a few new and interesting people, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress. With one, however, there may be a minor personality clash as he is not a phone person and I emphatically am. On the flip side, he is an instant messenger person and I have so far managed to avoid that "vice." Note that I am the one who only got a cell phone a few months ago, so I resist new forms of communication. (Also note that I don't want to get hooked on IM as work has expressly forbidden any sort of downloads, and would likely frown on chatting with someone during work hours. Sure I could just not use it during work, but I'm not real good with resisting temptation, especially when the temptation is to chat with someone cool.) However, the conflict is minor, he seems cool, and if any sort of regular contact between us is in the cards, we will find a way to deal. We shall see.
As for now, I'm going to try to have some more tea. I can't wait to feel better.
I'll try to give a better Lunacon post soon. BTW, for all who weren't there and didn't get the news, this was the last year for the Escher Hilton. Apparently we outgrew the space and lost patience with the bullshit the hotel was providing so well, so next year will be somewhere else. Last I heard, the new site is the Meadowlands.
