First, my love life. Curt and I are doing well. He was down here last weekend and we went apple picking. I got more exercise walking around picking apples than I have gotten in the last two months. I was certainly "feeling the burn," but it was still a lot of fun. This weekend he is home, cleaning and doing homework. Did I mention he is taking a class? I am so proud of him. He isn't taking a class because he needs to graduate, or because his company requires it, or because he has continuing education requirements to keep a license (read: my choice to be a lawyer), but because HE wants to better himself. How awesome is that? Not only is my sweetheart bright, gentle, thoughtful, kind, considerate, generous, and a lot of fun, but he is also industrious and is always trying to better himself. I'm so proud of him.
Second, my job. Work overall is going well. I am still learning how to enter judgments, I have been working the counter a lot, which I really do enjoy (usually), and I am overall cheerful.
Third, my house. The place is a disaster. I am slowly but surely working on cleaning it, but I really let it get bad. Ah well, I'll dig out eventually. I did, however, get a new dishwasher a couple of weeks ago. My old one decided to die with a full load in it and a load and a half in the sink. The guy who came to install it does home repairs and knows people who do the repairs that aren't his area of expertise, so I now finally have a new handyman. Before he left he changed a broken light bulb for me over my front door. HIGH over my front door. That light bulb has been out for the better part of 3 years. It's so nice to have light again.
As for now, I'm going to go do laundry, go through newspapers and throw them away, have an apple, and play computer games. In some order. :)
I hope everyone is well. By the way, if I never let you know what it is that I do at work and if enough people actually want to know, I'll gladly post, but I would rather not bore people. Speaking of which, here is an explicit request to my "beloved readers" -- please post a description of what you do. For at least half of you, I don't really know what you actually do at work, and I'm interested.
